Along with the Cannes Film Festival in France and the Berlinale in Germany’s capital, the Venice Film Festival is one of the most important film festivals in the world. Last year, Israeli director Samuel Maoz won the Golden Lion for his film Lebanon.
From September 1 to September 11, 2010, when the Venice Film Festival takes place, the “City of Love” will be even more crowded with visitors than the lagoon city usually is. In addition to the “regular” tourists staying in Venice hotels as part of a city break, the festival will draw many stars and their entourages, as well as a huge contingent of journalists from around the world, reporting on the Venice Film Festival—not to mention the thousands of fans arriving at Venice hotels in hopes of catching a glimpse of, or even getting an autograph from, one of the Hollywood superstars appearing there. Anyone planning to travel to Venice in early September 2010 should therefore start looking now for a holiday apartment in Venice or a room at one of the city’s hotels. Here on www.venedig-netz.de, you’ll find a well-balanced selection of affordable holiday apartments in Veneto, as well as hotels in Venice.
