Nanto offers a range of ways to plan a stay: hiking trails, villas, ancient history and seasonal local traditions. Concrete differences can help you choose your itinerary. The Sentiero degli Ulivi starts in the town centre and has an approximate length; the Sentiero dei Monti di Nanto is notable for its views of Lago di Fimon. There are also public tours of Villa CorĂ  Grassi and seasonal events centred on local produce. This makes it easy to tailor your stay to outdoor activities, culture or food.

Hiking trails and views

The Sentiero degli Ulivi, Trail 84, starts in the town centre of Nanto and is about five kilometres long. The trail number, starting point and approximate distance provide practical guidance for planning a hike. The Sentiero dei Monti di Nanto leads to viewpoints overlooking Lago di Fimon. This gives you two distinct criteria to choose from: for Trail 84, the starting point and distance are the specific details available, while the Sentiero dei Monti is defined by its view of the lake. Nanto therefore offers both an approximately measured route and a trail with a clearly identified viewpoint, making it easier to compare the hiking options.

Villas and ancient history

Villa Corà Grassi is open for public guided tours once a month. Groups must be registered by invitation or request at least 15 days in advance. Another architectural highlight is Villa Barbaran, Muraro, Grassi, distinguished by the yellow stone of Nanto, which is found only in this area of the Berici Hills. As of 31 July 2026, the villa is listed among the regional “Luoghi della cultura” (Places of Culture).

The Covoli di Trene and Grotta di Trene also connect Nanto with ancient history. The Covoli di Trene are associated with finds of cave bear remains; evidence of the Upper Palaeolithic has been documented in Grotta di Trene. Together with the villas, these sites offer a range of cultural points of interest, from architecture and local stone to traces of prehistory.

Winegrowing, truffles and seasonal events

Nanto has a long-standing winegrowing tradition and is traditionally known for the abundant gathering of black truffles. The events calendar features different seasonal dates: “Nantopietra” takes place in Nanto in April, and the “Festa del tartufo e dell’olivo dei Colli Berici” is held in Nanto every summer. Fresh black truffles are sold at the Pro Loco Nanto stalls during the first two weekends of July. The April event, the summer festival and the specific truffle-selling period offer different seasonal points of reference.
