Along the Muson

Loria can be particularly explored for travel planning through the landscape around the Muson and the places in Bessica. The tourist itinerary “Sui Sentieri degli Ezzelini” is the focus for active exploration. The cycle and walking route, which is 40 kilometres long in total, runs mainly along the Torrente Muson and partly along the Musonello. Its route passes through the municipalities of Riese Pio X, Loria, Castello di Godego, Castelfranco Veneto, Resana, Crespano del Grappa, Paderno del Grappa, Fonte and Asolo. Loria is therefore part of a named route that combines cycling and walking experiences along two watercourses.

Natural area and access

Loria has a nature park on the old riverbed of the Muson. The Parco sul Muson describes the landscape focus of this area. North of the park there is a municipal car park providing access to the hiking trail. It can be reached via an unpaved access road from Via Monte Santo. This information locates the access point without associating the trail with a specific stage length or walking time.

Bessica: Festival, exhibition and commemoration

The Fiera Bessica includes an Area Artigianato in the multi-purpose area behind the church. The Fiera Bessica also includes an exhibition of agricultural models in Villa Baroni. This identifies two different venues and types of content: craft presentations in the multi-purpose area and agricultural models in Villa Baroni.

Another notable site in Bessica is the Monumento ai Caduti. It is located in a green area opposite the Chiesa Arcipretale di San Giovanni Battista. The monument consists of a base made of unworked stone with slabs of white marble; a rock formation with four sculptural elements stands on the base. The cross-shaped memorial plaque bears the names of the soldiers who died in the First World War. Three additional plaques name those missing, those who fell for their country and the civilians who lost their lives in the war from 1940 to 1945. The Monumento ai Caduti was inaugurated in 1924 and restored in 2018; missing parts were also added during the restoration.
