Roncade combines significant cultural heritage with wine, regional products and outdoor experiences. If you would like to explore the town independently, you will find various points of interest here: guided tours of Castello di Roncade, Venetian painting in the Parrocchia di tutti i Santi, an event centred around Radicchio Verdon di Roncade, and a section of the Monaco–Venice Cycle Route.

Castello di Roncade and Venetian Art

Castello di Roncade welcomes visitors for guided tours and wine tours. These experiences present the history of the castle and its wines. The complex was built in the 16th century by Girolamo Giustinian and Agnesina Badoer. It includes historic gardens, decorative statues, two barchesse, a chapel dedicated to Saint Anne and the manor house. This makes it possible to discover the estate not only through its architecture, but also through the various elements of its historic ensemble.

A second cultural stop is the Parrocchia di tutti i Santi in Roncade. Its façade is designed in the Neoclassical style. Inside, the church preserves an important cycle of 18th-century Venetian paintings, with works by artists from the Tiepolo school. The Parrocchia di tutti i Santi is easily accessible to everyone and complements a visit to the castle with an independent insight into Venetian art history.

Wine and Local Products

Roncade’s culinary side is also connected with specific places and events. PrimaVera in Festa has been held in Roncade’s historic centre for several years. The event is dedicated to Radicchio Verdon di Roncade and a craft fair. PrimaVera in Festa features tastings of local products as well as direct sales by producers. Products on offer include Radicchio Verdon di Roncade, red wines, sausages, cheese, pasta and other products.

The “Radici e Calici” experience offered by Le Vigne di San Giacomo combines two clearly defined elements: a walk through the vineyards and a visit to the Cappella di San Giacomo. Together with the wine tours at Castello di Roncade, this creates a selection of different wine and cultural experiences, although these offerings do not follow the same visit format.

Discover Roncade by Bike

For exploring by bicycle, the section of the Monaco–Venice Cycle Route in Roncade offers its own way to access the town. It begins in a landscaped riverside area along the Musestre River and continues through the centre of Roncade. The route thus connects a riverside landscape with the town centre, while the castle, church and event venue provide further cultural and culinary focal points.

The documented sporting activities also include the 8th Trofeo Parco del Musestre. It was an MTB race open to non-members as well as the MPG, PG and G1–G6 categories. This past competition complements the ways of understanding Roncade not only through its buildings and wine, but also through the town’s connection with cycling.
